I just found this video (the one below) which tries to elaborate a "ranking" of the cities vision developed through graphic novels and comics. Obviously a lot of others could have been quoted here but the final list is already pretty good...(starting from above)

As architect and comics fan I cant let you write "Moebius: L'Incal (The long tomorrow in English)" ! They are two Moebius' comics, but not the same : "L'incal", with Jodorowsky, it's a long saga start in 1985, and "The long tomorrow", whith Dan O'Bannon, it's a 1975 short comics.
RépondreSupprimerBut, it's a realy american view of the cities in comics... They dont talk about Schuiten (image in the begining of the movie), about Marc Antoine Matthieu ("Mémoire Morte"), Enki Bilal... I think there are many intresting cities in european comics.

si je peux me permettre je vais répondre en francais. le mérite de l'incal, d'ailleurs pas que celui-ci, mais également La Caste des Méta-Barons et les technopères et tout ce qui en découle, on ne peut pas l'attribuer à moebius mais à Jodorowsky. tu peux aimer le graphisme de moebius mais le talent c'est jodorowsky. désolé mais c'est ce qui a bercé mon enfance, je pouvais pas laisser dire ca. la prochaine fois promis je te le fais en anglais.
