Banlieue 13 (2004), is a french action movie produced by the well known french director Luc Besson ( The 5th Element). Even if the story and the actors are pretty bad...this movie is introducing an interesting scenario where a part of parisian suburbs is ruled by drug dealer gangs and is getting of out control, the government take the decision to separate it by a wall and to leave the area in an autarkic situation, and then to destroy it with a bomb. (Déja vu : Escape from New york & Escape from Los Angeles by John Carpenter)
What I liked in this movie are the sets with some very impressive spaces of abandonned factories, but I also liked some of the action scenes where actors are running after each other on buildings rooftop using the parkour/free run technics.
Following one of the free run scene, enjoy!
