# 1933 Slaughterhouse in Shanghai

Shanghai's 1933 Slaughterhouse has now been reconverted into an Art Center. The intermediary area between the peripheral building and the central cupola is composed by a multitude of beautiful massive concrete pathways that were originally paced by the animals.

one of my favourite buildings in shanghai! a labyrinth of bridges to get lost...
however, real estate investors' voracity have turned the whole space into a "creative shopping mall". i wish they had just left it open for people's initiatives, intead of to the Porsche Owners Club, American Apparel or any other snobby restaurant...
